Displaying the wonderful blending of functionality with artistic expression - the post war technical advances produced a large number of Italian modernist lighting designs. Attention to detail is a hallmark of those pieces designed and made by the Italian lighting firm of Gilardi & Barzaghi. A single steel stem painted in pale mint green supports a classic adjustable brass arm with a handle on one side acting as counterweight to the opposing perforated 12" diameter shade in the same mint color. Circular base in bronze painted metal. Much patina overall.
