Pair 1940s Italian mahogany stools w/carved handles

An exceptional pair of stools or small side tables produced in the late 1940s Italy. A sharp design with a plum stain to the mahogany veneer applied to the rounded-edge top and shaped sides. Perfectly contrasting cerused hardwood for the trim edge and for the lower stretcher. Each side has carved continuous rings that form the handles.   Italy, 1940s.
