This pair of stools is attributed to Charles Dudouyt (1885-1946) whose design spanned the Art Deco to early Modernist movement. Innovative organic forms were his mainstay with a frequent early brutalist viewpoint. This stool has classic cone-shape legs supported by a lower tapered stretcher and a circular woven cane seat with alternating colors. Likely produced in the the 1940s, France.
